Thanksgiving

• Spent the last 2.5 hours on the phone with my mom
• She called so I could help her open a bottle of wine at 11 am this morning
• she doesn’t drink, and only drank two sips the entire time, yet managed to spill it on her puzzle and laptop.
• Bailed on dinner with her boyfriend, the reason why I didn’t go home, because she already had plans
• told me she was going to “off herself” multiple times
• bitched about her job for almost the entire time

SO, I am thankful that I am three hours away because I couldn’t handle this every day, for being raised to be a strong, independent woman and not let the world drag me down, for my friends, loved ones, distant family, and all of the beautiful, handsome, funny, wise people in my life. You’re only young once. Live fast, fall in love (even though it hurts sometimes), take chances, and enjoy it. Cheers to our youth, and all of you. Thank you for being you, and even if I bitch about it, I wouldn’t want anyone in my life any other way.
